FLOATAN O is a product made from vegetable extracts that depresses floating carbonates of industrial ores. It also acts on fine ores present in argillic alterations areas of sulfur deposits, thus optimizing substantially collector reactant action.
The product has an effective action on sericite, montmorillonite and chlorite, that appear in the periphery of the exploitation, consuming reactants because of their high specific surfaces.
Its combination with the dispersant FLOATAN M 3 significantly increases gold and copper recovery of sulfured copper ores.
Gold losses from the neutralisation circuit in BIOX Process are typically in the range of two to four per cent relative to mill feed. With the addition of Floatan O, this mode of loss has been conservatively reduced by 40 per cent which equates to a significant overall recovery gain of 2.6 per cent.

Higher selectivity.
Good solubility in water.
DOSE:
Dosing varies according to the type of ore mined and the stages during which the product is added, usually 50-500 g/ton treated.
STORAGE:
The packaging and the product are designed to remain unaltered under temperatures ranging between –10o C and 50o C. Since FLOATAN O is a hygroscopic product, it should be stored in enclosed locations and/or covered with waterproof material.
FLOATAN O powder or solution may be placed in stainless steel tanks, in epoxy resin layered containers, or in plastics tanks or containers made of a similar material (polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon, etc.)
