Colatan GT 10 is a product obtained by means of physicochemical treatments on extracted substances of the Colorado Quebracho(Schinopsis Lorenzii) arboreal species that grows in the Northeast of Argentina.

Colatan GT 10 can be used like substitute of phenol in resins phenol-formaldehyde, replacing 20% of phenol per 20% of Colatan GT 10 in solution to 50% , supporting the adhesive and cohesive characteristics without variation, multilaminated boards being obtained and of particles inside the scope of the American Procedure and European WBP.

Colatan GT10 as substitution of phenol is used normally in solution. In order to replace part of fenol in formula it is advised to replace a 20% of phenol per 20% of Colatan GT 10 in solution to 50% P/P.
One of its excellent characteristic is that it is dosed at the end of process of condensation of the resin, therefore, normal process of manufacture does not undergo alterations.
